Product Care

In order to provide waterproof, heat resistant food utensils that can be used safely, all OKECRAFT products are impregnated with resin and then are coated with a layer of polyurethane. Both are approved as methods to strengthen materials by Food Sanitation Act of Japan.

For the first-time users

Before using, wash it 2 to 3 times with warm water around 40 degrees Celsius and use a soft towel to wipe it dry. To make our food utensils heat resistant, they are all coated with a thick layer of polyurethane. If you find the odor intolerable, please refer to the following steps to deodorize.

① Wash in one direction, bottom to rim, using dish detergent and non-scratch sponge.

② Add hot water of 70~80 degrees Celsius in and leave it for a while; after that, dump the water in your sink.

③ If you cannot get rid of lingering odors, repeat ② several times.

④ To remove grease, soak your nonabrasive sponge in dish detergent and use it to scrub the oily utensils softly.
